While in London I was fortunate to be able to attend "Prime Minister's Question Time" at the Houses of Parliament.
No one does political theater better than the British....
"Will the
Prime Minister admit that his party's policy on foreign trade
is an utter failure?"
"Ahhhh, hear, hear! Hear, hear!"
"Well, as the right honorable gentleman would know if he didn't have his head stuck quite so far up his arse,
it was his party that buggered the policy in the first place!"
"Arrrr, hear, hear! Hear, hear!"

| What luck! I found this golden ticket in a chocolate bar and won a trip to Willy Wonka's British Law Factory. | The Houses of Parliament | The House of Commons is quite uncharacteristically rowdy for a bunch of Brits. |

| Here I got to see the opposition give Tony Blair the 3rd degree. | The Tories grilled the Prime Minister over everything from the Iraq war, to his cabinet appointments to the controversial practice of fox hunting with hounds. | Through this door to the House of Commons, the hallowed halls of the Democratic seat of the British Empire (or what's left of it, anyway). |

| A closer look at St. Stephen's Entrance. Alas, no photography is permitted beyond. | Do you think you're clever? Can you name the subject of this photo? Take my quiz and we'll see. | Inside the British Museum they have many incredible exhibitions of world treasures stolen ... ahem ... I mean ... collected and preserved. |

| I was fascinated by the transparent roof over this previously open courtyard. | Alas, many unfortunate creatures become trapped under this glass ceiling. They try to break through, but just bash themselves against it in futile attempts to fly free. I can't help but feel for all those poor women executives. | The British Museum Library. I made a
little movie of it as well. (View movie with QuickTime or Real.) |
