Paris - November
2001
"If you're tired of Paris, you're tired of life." I don't know
who said it, but I couldn't agree more.
I could never tire of Paris, but I've definitely grown tired of my own early
style of simplistic tourist photography. This time in Paris, I tried to
find new ways and new angles from which to see this great city ... underground,
rooftops and nighttime.
My first forays into night photography have been particularly difficult
and rewarding. Cold nights of tripods and long exposures require much patience
and yield dozens of failures and a few treasured gems. Many of these photos
are experiments, I hope you enjoy them.
